I am giving this book by Tyler Perry an honorable mention. It does contain some great advice for people of color despite the silly book cover and title. I enjoyed reading it. Tyler Perry's movies always contains valuable messages as well. Mr. Perry receives flak sometimes because of the character of Madea, which Tyler Perry portrays. However, I feel that it is not the appearance of the messenger, but instead the message that we should be paying close attention to. Remember, Jesus was also ridiculed while he spoke wisdom.

I recommend anything by Marianne Williamson.  Miss Williamson is a teacher of A Course in Miracles.  Jesus is the author of A Course in Miracles.  
You can listen to Marianne Williamson on Oprah and Friends on satellite radio.  You can also listen to archived pod casts done by Marianne on Oprah.com.  A Return to Love is my favorite book by Miss Williamson.  It also comes in audio book form.
